He states, “They should not have been prosecuted.”
President Donald Trump pardoned 23 pro-life protestors who were convicted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by President Biden’s Justice Department.
“Twenty-three people that were prosecuted. They should not have been prosecuted,” President Trump said in remarks from the Oval Office. “Many of them are elderly people. They should not have been prosecuted. This is a great honor to sign this.”
The previous administration charged the peaceful activists and largely ignored perpetrators of hundreds of attacks on pro-life pregnancy centers and churches.
The president’s pardons were signed on the eve of the annual human rights event, the National March for Life, which brings thousands of pro-life advocates from around the U.S. to the nation’s capital.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he seeks to defend the First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and assembly.
- For wisdom for U.S. officials in federal agencies as they receive directives from the president and his incoming administration.
